I am delighted to present this year’s first issue of African Journal of Business and Economic Research (AJBER). AJBER is a triennial, double-blind peer reviewed, high quality international journal that provides an exciting opportunity for the publication of articles from academics, business practitioners, and policy makers at a time of great change across the wider business and economics field.

The journal aims to advance vibrant, engaging, high quality and up-to-date research, which inform policies and practices, as well as improve understanding of how economic and business decisions shape the lives of Africans. The journal remains committed in publishing papers that may have a continental, regional or country focus. This issue of the journal contain papers with diverse research methods in the disciplines of Business Management, and Economics. As part of our future strategy, we will offer publication space to special and supplemental issues associated with conferences and special regional or country specific topics.
